During a weekend when we're getting focused on filling our hearts with LOVE ❤, let's chat a bit about hearth health.

What are some of the best things YOU can do for your dog's heart health?

.

1 ) Feed a good food. The best you can afford from a great company or balanced, homemade. One that is high in quality protein from MEAT, low in processed carbohydrates, and loaded with quality amino acids. Reach out to us for tips and ideas!

.

2 ) Add fresh food to their diet. Whether they're eating a quality dry food,, or even a premade raw diet, or homemade, balanced, diet, always be sure you're adding plenty of fresh food from animal sources. Eggs, Meat including Poultry & Fish and Raw Goat's Milk are going to be your best sources of taurine, cystine and methionine. Those quality amino acids work together and directly support hearth health.

.

Plenty of exercise. Not just playing by themselves in your backyard. I know winters are tough, but 20-30 minutes of walking regularly, or actively playing fetch or interactive play in the house, daily.

.

4 ) Focus on gut health and digestion. Adding pet specific digestive enzyme and probiotics added to their food regularly, is one small thing you can do to improve their gut health. I also seed regular chiropractic care from a holistic veterinarian. Yes! Chiro care can also help improve digestion.

.

Titer test before your next vaccinations! Reach out to Protect the Pets online OR ask your holistic veterinarian to perform these tests before assuming your dog doesn't have immunity to pet diseases.

.

See a veterinarian regularly for yearly check ups. I personally choose integrative and holistic vets in our area. Reach out if you need a referral (contact us for more info).

.

These simple steps can help you help keep your pets heart healthy.
